POSITION: Full Time Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coach for the St. Louis Cardinals – for our Dominican Republic Academy
JOB DESCRIPTION: The St. Louis Cardinals Performance Department is looking to immediately fill 1 Full Time S&C Coach position, to be assigned to our Academy in the Dominican Republic (Boca Chica). Duties to include, but are not limited to: assisting the Director of Performance, Athletic Development Coordinator & the Dominican S&C Liaison with the implementation of all strength, speed, and conditioning aspects of the Cardinal program. Testing and evaluating athletes, leading team stretch, weight room maintenance and bi-monthly reports on player activities. Assist with the rehabilitation of injured players and program development are also possible responsibilities. Ability to lift and carry items up to 80 lbs and demonstrate various exercise techniques. Candidates may be required to work spring training, but more likely to go directly to the DR for work. Previous work experience as a Strength and Conditioning coach at the collegiate or professional level preffered, prior experience with baseball players preferred.
This is a bi-lingual, English/Spanish needs position.
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field,
- CPR/AED/First Aid Cert
- Spanish speaking/read/write with basic proficiency
- Proficient in excel and

- Spanish speak/read/write with fluency
- Functional Movement Screen certified
- RSCC designation/RSCC eligible
- Knowledge in Olympic lifts
LOCATION: Boca Chica, Dominican Republic (subject to organization need and candidate experience).
START DATEU: As early as Feb. 6, 2017, but no later than April 2, 2017.
COMPENSATION: Salary to be determined but this is a full time, contracted positon with benefits. Meal money during spring training, housing during spring training.
