JOB TITLE: Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach

SUPERVISOR: Furey Leva, RSCC, CSCS

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Philadelphia Phillies are seeking a full-time strength coach to oversee all aspects of strength, nutrition, mobility, speed, agility, flexibility, conditioning and recovery for each individual at their given affiliate. The primary function of this position is to take the program set forth by our Head Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach and Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and properly introduce it to their assigned players.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Properly integrate a comprehensive strength and conditioning program to MiLB Players
  • Collaborate with Dieticians on minor league catering at given affiliate
  • Maintain the affiliate weight room
  • Report capital improvements to MiLB Strength Coordinator
  • Execute in-season testing on a schedule set forth by MiLB Strength Coordinator
  • Attend Spring Training and help with all testing and implementing of strength program
  • Yearly visit to Dominican Academy to aid with program implementation
  • Be able to follow guidelines of The Phillies Shoulder programs
  • Participate in screening of the players
  • Required to report to Strength and Conditioning Coordinator any activity considered detrimental to player’s health and performance
  • Must work closely with athletic trainers and assisting them in duties
  • Any additional duties assigned by S&C Coordinator

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • First Aid/CPR Certified
  • CSCS CertifiedJ
  • Experience training athletes and supervising weight rooms
  • Prior baseball experience is preferred
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is extremely beneficial

 

JOB LOCATION:   Clearwater, FL and Assigned Affiliate

JOB DURATION:   Full Time, 12 Months
