JOB TITLE: Dominican Republic Strength and Conditioning Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Cleveland Indians are seeking a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach for the 2018 baseball season. This coach will report to the Dominican Republic Complex upon hiring, and remain in DR to assist the DR Strength & Conditioning Coach. This coach will serve as an assistant to the DR Performance Coordinator.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the DR Performance Coordinator and other DR Strength Coach during the season, implementing and supervising the Cleveland Indians Strength and Conditioning program throughout the year, creating and managing a daily Strength and Conditioning schedule throughout the season, record daily / weekly / monthly reports throughout the season and offseason, assist in organizing and supervising off-season camps, reconditioning assignments, and weight room cleaning and maintenance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related health science field. Applicant needs to be fluent in Spanish. Applicant must possess or be working towards a current CSCS Certification. Applicant must possess a current CPR & First Aid Certification. Possessing a Master’s degree, Collegiate Strength & Conditioning experience, are all strongly desired, but not required.

Candidates must have a strong passion for Strength and Conditioning, a resilient work ethic, strong leadership skills, the ability to work with a culturally diverse population, effective communication skills, strong computer skills, and be able to passionately motivate athletes.

JOB DURATION: Full-Time
