JOB TITLE: Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Cleveland Indians are seeking a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach for the 2018 baseball season. The coach will report to Goodyear, AZ for Spring Training and be responsible for implementing the Cleveland Indians Strength & Conditioning program at an assigned affiliate, throughout the season. This coach will serve as an assistant to the Major League & Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinators.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting both the Major League & Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinators during Spring Training, implementing and supervising the Cleveland Indians Strength and Conditioning program throughout the year, creating and managing a daily Strength and Conditioning schedule throughout the season, record daily / weekly / monthly reports throughout the season and offseason, assist in implementing off-season camps, and assist with weight room cleaning and maintenance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related health science field. Applicant must possess or be working towards a current CSCS Certification. Applicant must possess a current CPR & First Aid Certification. Possessing a Master’s degree, Collegiate Strength & Conditioning experience, fluency in Spanish are all strongly desired, but not required.
Candidates must have a strong passion for Strength and Conditioning, a resilient work ethic, strong leadership skills, the ability to work with a culturally diverse population, effective communication skills, strong computer skills, and be able to passionately motivate athletes.
