Jake is in his 8th season with the Indians organization and 5th as the Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. He is based out of the Goodyear, AZ complex and spends the off-season conditioning the club’s Major and Minor League players who reside in the Phoenix area.
Jake served as the GCL Indians strength coach in 2007 and worked in Cleveland as the weight room intern during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. He graduated from John Carroll University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 2006 and the University of South Florida with a master’s degree in exercise science in 2008. He also served as a graduate assistant strength coach for USF in 2006.
Jake resides in Phoenix, AZ with his wife Maggie and son Max.

Brendon Huttmann was named the Pirates Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach on October 24, 2011. He spent the previous four seasons (2008-2011) in the same capacity with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
